Nautical - Harbour Information
St Peter Port is a busy harbour during the summer months and care should be taken when entering and departing. A red light on the south end of the jetty and inter-island quay indicates that large vessels are underway and prohibits entry and exit of other vessels except boats of 15m or less. On arrival, visiting craft will normally be met by a member of the marina staff, who will give directions for mooring along with a Yachtsmen's Guide and a customs form.
The Victoria Marina offers alongside pontoon moorings for craft with up to 2m draft and maximum length of around 14m, dependent on space. Electricity and water are provided on all marina pontoons. The sill height is 4.2m above Chart Datum with access approximately 2.5 hours either side of high water. Entry is controlled by the marina staff. A waiting pontoon for craft wishing to enter the marina is provided, adjacent to the Victoria Marina. For vessels not able to enter the marina, a number of pontoons are available in the pool to moor up alongside.
The Yachtsmen's Guide gives details of the regulations for visiting yachtsmen whilst in the harbour of St Peter Port. The marina staff are on duty 24 hours a day. The Marina Manager should be contacted by the owners of larger craft for confirmation of berthing arrangements, prior to arrival and also by anyone requiring special facilities. The Queen Elizabeth II Marina is primarily for local boats; however, by prior arrangement, larger vessels with draughts up to 3m can berth there. Please contact the Marina Manager/ Duty Harbour Officer.

St Peter Port Marinas
Probably Europe's most attractive harbour capital, St Peter Port is a bustling town with cobbled streets and breathtaking hilltop views. The town has retained a good deal of its Regency architecture and offers an abundance of restaurants, with menus to suit all tastes and pockets. Fresh seafood is a local speciality whilst other dishes from our Anglo-Norman kitchen include Guernsey gâche (pronounced 'gosh', a fruit loaf), Guernsey biscuits (bread roll) and beanjar (pork casserole). Sophisticated, low tax shopping is the hallmark of St Peter Port, whose small boutiques offer designer clothes, locally crafted jewellery, watches, photographic equipment, perfumes and cosmetics plus many other luxury goods, all at attractive prices.
St Peter Port is a compact town, with many attractions and places of interest within a small area. Information on guided walks plus a wide range of literature is available from the Guernsey Information Centre, next to the Victoria Marina.
Beaucette Marina is a private marina on Guernesy's north east coast. Please click here for further details.
